Apartment Review for Apple Apartments - Biloxi, MS

Absolutely the WORST place we have ever lived, and we once lived in a tiny studio apartment in Washington with no heat or air conditioning! The ants never go away, and the gate closest to the apartments is ALWAYS closed. Probably because they don't want to deal with all the shady immigrants and minorities that frequent that area. People have been assaulted and robbed in a heavy concentration, and more so in this neighborhood than any other on the east side of Biloxi. I myself was followed several times, once even to the door of my apartment! If you are female, they will bother you! The laundry facilities are a JOKE- always broken down, and $3.00 to do one damn load? No way! Take pictures of all the damage when you move in, because trust me, they will make you pay for damages you TOLD them about! Our apartment was filthy when we moved in, and when we noted this, they said it was because it was vacant for so long after they cleaned it. Wow. We hated leaving our car outside, and we were constantly on edge that we would be victims of robbery. I knew some other military wives there, that regretted ever moving in. We didn't even get an itemized list of deductions, when they sent us our measly deposit back LATE. The people in the office treat you like you are stupid, and are constantly sitting outside smoking and jabbering instead of answering phones. (I bet because it's people calling to say they are taking them to small claims court because they think they are above tenant/landlord laws)In all honesty, we thought we were getting a good deal, but we got screwed. Being harrassed every day by freaks, being paranoid we'd get robbed, not actually having close access to the base (or good grocery stores, by the way, because the nearest costs are OBSCENE), and living in essentially a cave with minimal electricity...all of it was a nightmare. Don't live here- unless you want to get raped, or beaten within an inch of your life- two incidents that happened in the 5 months we were there LESS THAN A BLOCK AWAY.
